For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.

Colossians 1:9-12 (NIV)

I love today’s verse! So encouraging!

To be honest today I am feeling very tired and very glad that it is the end of a busy term! I was so glad when I opened up today’s act to see this verse and to see that today’s act is to ‘make time’ for others and also myself by scraping the schedule!

Friday is my day with my 3 year old daughter who doesn’t go to preschool on this day quite yet although this will change after Easter. On these days, we have done baking, painting, playing in the garden, a little bit of gardening, shopping, visiting neighbours. It’s ended up being busy! So today we are chilling out together without anything on the schedule apart from a school assembly later and maybe a little bit of baking!

Here’s she is yesterday wearing her Rapunzel dress with matching bright yellow wellies!! Of course!!! Look at the joy on her face!!!

Earlier this week: Making rainbow rabbit cards!!    Completing a caterpillar number track!

But for today, no big projects. Resting.

I love this……particularly the last bit!!!

I have arranged to see a friend who has recently been approved with her husband as adopters (yay!) for coffee after the holidays and also another former colleague too.

But for now we are looking forward to the holidays, family time and some more rest – is that possible with children?! 😄

Have a good day all,

Ruth xxx
