Today’s act sounds selfish! Be first!

But as the act explains, there are two scenarios where you should aim to be 1st:

In the Olympics

and to volunteer.

Today I have chosen to profile a charity who holds today’s Act verse “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” James 1:27 (NLT) at its very core.

Home for Good is a charity promoting adoption and fostering within the church and encouraging the church to wrap around those who adopt or foster. They were recently featured on songs of praise and yesterday they launched a new fundraising event called ‘Walking Home for Good’ aiming to raise £4000 representing the 4000 children in the UK who need a ‘Home for Good’.

I’ll be walking with my family (and hopefully others) to raise funds. Watch this space for my details!

For more information about this event go to and for all things Home for Good, look at their website , follow them on Twitter @home4gd or Facebook.

As I’ve said previously, I am an adoptive mum and an adoption champion for this charity. I am passionate about this work and believe everyone can play a part in supporting children who need it. It is what God calls ‘true and pure worship’.

Get involved too!!

Have a great day,

Ruth x
